The
Centre for Rapid Design and Manufacture (CRDM) was established in 1995
at the Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College in High Wycombe and
offers a complete bureau service to industry 24 hours per day, seven
days a week.
Their equipment includes two 3D Systems
SLA250/50 stereo lithography machines, a DTM SinterStation 2000
Selective Laser Sintering machine and an EOSINT M250.
These services are accompanied by vacuum
casting facilities, as well as CNC 3 Axis milling, EDM, Wire EDM and
injection moulding equipment.
They use a range of the latest 3D CAD and
CNC software for part modeling, RP part preparation and tool path
generation.
The customer base ranges from
multi-national organisations driven by tight deadlines, to small
businesses who simply want to test an idea inexpensively.
As well as providing commercial and
training services, CRDM also run a research facility, maintaining an
active research program in the field of Rapid Prototyping for many
years.
As a result of this research and the
strong links to other departments in the Buckinghamshire Chiltern's
University College, CRDM are able to call upon extensive engineering and
scientific expertise to identify solutions to individual clients
problems. |
